I had ordered an iflight stack (flight controller + Electronic speed controller) from insideFPV for around 9k, which was promptly delivered on a Tuesday. I had waited until the weekend... read more to start the drone build. As a precautionary measure I always take a betaflight CLI(command line interface) dump of the FC before I ever touch a soldering iron. However, upon plugging in the FC to PC, it was not detected. I did all the usual trouble shooting steps, different ports, cables, laptops. Tried zadig, stm32 drivers, impulse rcdriver fixer, but nothing worked. My heart sank, as not many local hobby shops offer any warranty on the products you buy from them. I notified insidefpv via email of my predicament. I was promptly contacted via phone by their support team. They even obliged me with a teamviewer session upon my request, to check for any steps I might have missed. We went through all the steps over again. To my dismay, nothing worked. They offered to replace the FC and sent me a return shipping label, which I must point out was very thoughtful of them, as return shipping is expected to be borne by the customer. They immediately shipped a replacement HGLRC stack of similar rating. I applaud the insideFPV team on how they handled the situation, never making me feel like they were doing me a favor by replacing the defective piece, even though I had waited for a while before notifying them of the problem.
